Starting in London, the tour includes its most famous landmarks: the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, West Minster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, the changing of the Guard, the Tower of London and the Crown Jewels, Canterbury Cathedral, Leeds Castle "described as the loveliest castle in the world", Windsor Castle and Shakespeare’s birthplace. Leaving England, we will enter Wales where we will visit: Warwick Castle with its incredible dungeon, Conway Castle, Ruthin Castle where we will enjoy an authentic medieval banquet and Caernarvon Castle. Crossing the Irish Sea by ferry we will visit Dublin, where we will see: Trinity College, Dublin Castle, if possible we will stay overnight in Ballygally Castle, where Lady Isobel Shaw’s ghost loves to knock on the doors of the guests, maybe she’ll knock on yours, Monasterboice and Carrickfergus Castle which is the best preserved Norman castle in Ireland. Crossing the North Channel into Scotland we will visit: Culzean Castle, Inveraray Castle, Inverness Castle, Eilean Donan Castle which is haunted by a Spanish soldier and is considered one of the most photographed castle in the world, Glaims Castle the childhood home of the Queen Mother and birthplace of Princess Margaret who was the first royal baby born in Scotland in over 300 years; this castle is haunted by many frightening spirits, Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. This is our second trip with your organization and we have loved every moment of it.
The choice in castles that you made for the trip were wonderful as usual.  We had so much fun in England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland on your tour. The close attention you pay to the tour, the confort of the passengers and the ownership you take in the operations makes Castles of the World the very best tour of Europe. The professionals that you provide to direct the tour and to drive the bus show how much you care about your guests. Pam and I enjoyed everyone on the bus, each person was so nice and had so much to offer their fellow travelers.  It seems that the tours generate new friendships that last until the next tour. WINDSOR CASTLE:

We may never know what it is like to be a Monarch, but a visit to Windsor Castle may be the next best thing. This stunning castle has been a Royal residence since the time of William the Conqueror, and is Queen Elizabeth ll’s favorite. The Queen is in official residence here in April and June, and "the Queen and her family spend most of their private weekends at the Castle."
Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest continually occupied castle in the world.
Step back in time and witness 900 years of history. Founded by William the Conqueror in 1070, Windsor Castle’s grounds cover 13 acres. It is an incredible complex of palatial apartments, the glorious chapel of St. George, the Curfew Tower with its original medieval interior, the Round Tower rebuilt in stone in 1170, the Waterloo Chamber a 13th century banquet hall, the State Apartments, and the Royal Collection are just a few things to be seen on this fabulous adventure into the past.
If you are lucky you may meet nose to nose with the ghost of King Henry VIII, as reported by guests of the Castle who have not only seen him walking the halls of Windsor, but also have reported hearing the sound of his footsteps and even more chilling, his agonizing moans. Or maybe you will get a glimpse of Anne Boleyn, Queen Elizabeth I, King Charles I, King George III or the Duke of Buckingham, who have all been seen at the Castle.

 GILLETTE CASTLE

Gillettes Castle was William Gillettes Castle (Actor who played Sherlock Holmes) He was sailing down the Connecticut river one afternoon, and saw Seven hills in a row called the Seven Sisters. He thought it would be a good idea to build a home there, so he did, a medium sized Castle. Now you can go there these days and go on a picnic throughout the lands of the Castle and you can go up and take a tour of the castle for 5 dollars (at least when i went). It s beautiful place to wonder around. there is trails everywhere and on one trail a old tunnel in the woods where i use to go and explore. It was used for a miniature train that went around the castle and its land. they took it out awhile ago because they dint want to repair the tracks, so they sold the miniature train to Lake compounds in Bristol Ct (an amusement park). From what I heard and seen, Gillettes Castle has been going through some renovation and I had heard some stories that they were going to put back the miniature train, for people to ride once again on the grounds of Gillettes Castle.
